Thanksgiving Punch!

For the past two years, John and I have hosted Thanksgiving.  John takes care of the turkey, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese, which leaves me with desserts and the most important piece of all: stuffing.  (It may seem like John does most of the Thanksgiving cooking, and that's because he does!  Hey, setting a pretty table takes time!).  Since I make the desserts ahead of time, and the stuffing goes in the crock pot, I am left with some time to experiment... Like with this Thanksgiving punch!

This Thanksgiving punch recipe is made up of 1/2 part cranberry juice, 1/2 part pineapple juice, a 1/2 cup of red hots, 2-3 cinnamon sticks, and gratitude (it's Thanksgiving, after all!).

Put all your ingredients on the stove and heat until the red hots are dissolved.  This recipe is so easy, and there is something about the pineapple and cinnamon that is so, so yummy together (it almost tastes carbonated!).

If your stove top is full, put all your ingredients into a crock pot and keep warm throughout the day.  Also, a splash of spiced rum tastes too perfect not to include (just sayin'...)!

  2. Cranberry and pineapple juice together?! Yum!! I love the idea of the red hots in a drink (and the rum too) That is impressive that your husband does so much of the Thanksgiving cooking, mine offers to help but his specialty is grilling and we don't do much of that in November! Thanks so much for joining me for the link up :)
