Five on Friday

Happy Friday!! I'm linking up for Five on Friday with Christina, April, Darci, and Natasha to celebrate!

ONE

San Antonio

John has been in Texas all week on a business trip, so we thought it would be fun to end the weekend together exploring! I flew into San Antonio yesterday, and we plan to spend some time just relaxing before heading back home.

Yay, for a mini vacation! (Although I doubt that's what John thinks of it...)

TWO

John's Birthday

And speaking of John, it's his birthday this week! Birthday celebrations are always fun regardless of whose birthday it is - but especially when it is my hubby's!!. We will likely have a low-key night but most certainly go to a yummy dinner somewhere!

Happy birthday, sweet boy!

THREE

Scout's Birthday

...And speaking of birthdays (!!), our puppy turns 1 on Monday! Although she is getting older, we still affectionately refer to her as our little terrorist.

She was so bad that when we first got her, we weren't sure if we would be able to keep her - but we wouldn't give her up for anything now!!

(Is it bad that I have a collage of photos of my dog, but only 1 for my husband?!)

FOUR

Purple Power Juice

I found this recipe on Williams Sonoma's 30 Days of Juicing, and it is delish! John is all about the fruit juices (while I like the veggies), so I thought this would be a yummy one for him.

- 6 cups grapes

- 1/2 cup blackberries

- 1 (or 2) golden delicious apples

- 2 one inch pieces of ginger

FIVE

How to take better pictures with your iPhone

I came across this article explaining how to take better photos with your iPhone. Since I don't own a nice camera (yet!), I'm always looking for ways to make my iPhone or iPad photos better.

There was nothing revolutionary, but hey, I'll take what I can get!

  15. Birthdays all around! March is my favourite month for a birthday, might be because it is my bday month too. Happy early birthday to your hubby and your pup! Pups are sometimes more cooperative with the picture taking that you end up with more photos of them then the humans. Totally understandable in my book.

  17. Scout is such a cutie! I love San Antonio, if you like Mexican food go to Me Tierra while you're there. Their flautas are to die for, and don't get me started on their sopapias.
    Have a great mini-cation!
