Our Weekend in Instagram Photos!

1  |  John was gone all last week in Texas, so on Thursday I flew out and met him in San Antonio for the weekend.  We had a wonderful time together, and after a very busy week for the two of us, time relaxing was much enjoyed.

2  |  On Friday, we started the day by touring River Walk.  It was absolutely beautiful outside (77 degrees), and it really felt like a perfect summer day.

3  |  We ate lunch on River Walk on a patio tavern called The Esquire.  This was quite fitting since I was dining with my personal esquire!  The restaurant has been open since 1933 (directly after prohibition), and it was a charming place with tasty food!

4  |  We ended the day by visiting the Alamo and going to bed early!

5  |  Saturday was spent in Fredericksburg, a German town about 45 minutes outside of San Antonio.  The town was adorable... we did some shopping and had a German lunch and drinks on an outside patio.  There was live music playing, and I was telling John that if I didn't know any better, I would swear that there was a beach right around the corner.

6  |  And the day ended with the most beautiful sunset!

7  |  Our warm weather bubble was quickly popped when we got back to New Mexico and were greeted by snow!  I've heard from many people that March in New Mexico is a total crap shoot... it could be in the 80s or you could have snow - and you shouldn't be surprised by either!

8  |  Scout turned 1 yesterday! Our little puppy is all grown up! ;)  When we picked her up from doggie day care, she was in total dog-mode.  I'm pretty sure that after playing with only dogs for 4 days straight, she forgets how to interact with people.  Needless to say, all she was interested in doing was romping around when she got home, but I made sure to snap at least one birthday photo!

9  |  We finished out Sunday by ordering pizza (pepperoni, garlic, green chile, bacon and pineapple) and watching the Academy Awards!! (Recap will happen tomorrow - My predictions were posted here!!)

  8. Happy Birthday Scout! I am so jealous that you got to experience 70 degree weather! I am dying for some! I just told my friend that this weekend will be warm (and it is going to be 40 degrees). How do I live in a place where 40 degrees equals warm? Bleh. Well, Happy Monday!

  18. We love San Antonio! Other than Houston, it's one of few places I'd move to and stay in Texas. It's beautiful (but unbelievably HOT in summer...). Happy Birthday Scout!
