Weekend Tid-bits!

ONE  |  This weekend John and I had a lunch date out at a fun Italian restaurant called Torinos' @ Home.  We had never heard of the restaurant until my mom (who lives in Minneapolis) saw the restaurant on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri.  It was so tasty and we will be going back very soon!

TWO  |  After lunch we did some "man shopping" and at went to Sportsman's Warehouse to pick up a new fly fishing pack for John.  We, of course, looked at all the fly fishing gear - it is so fun to watch John get excited about things (similar to how I get excited about buying a great new pair of shoes or jeans!).

THREE  |  When I bought my iPad Air over the holidays, they gave me a $75 Apple gift card, and I just haven't been able to find anything that I am dying to have.  After holding on to the gift card for a while, I bought this camera lens that attaches to your phone.  There is a macro, wide angle, and fisheye lens.  I have NO idea when I will ever use them, but they are super fun to play around with.

FOUR  |  This weekend was filled with Starbucks... and lots of it!  I am starting to really get into the iced non-fat vanilla macchiato (with light ice).  I like that it has more of a caffeine kick than the normal chai that I usually get.

FIVE  |  See that pile of white stuff?  It's not snow, but it has been flying around in the air like crazy this weekend!! I'm not from New Mexico (or anywhere that I have seen this before), so I have no idea what it is, but it looks like snow and is pretty thick in the air.  I am thankful that I don't have any type of allergies... It's got to be pretty brutal for people that do!

SIX  |  Along with the white stuff flying in the air, it was so windy this weekend.  Although you can't see it, there is a mountain behind all of that gray dust in the picture.  You can see the outline a bit, but it was crazy driving around town with the mountains completely gone from sight.

SEVEN  |  A couple weeks ago I made the best cauliflower cheese sticks, and this weekend John and I decided to make cauliflower pizza.  It was AMAZING!  I swear, I think I like it better than normal pizza... recipe to come tomorrow!!

EIGHT  |  John has been taking Scout and me for walks lately... I say that John walks me too, because he basically has to drag me out of the door!  Once I get outside and moving I have fun, but it is such a pain when I am nice and cozy warm inside.

NINE  |  Miss Scout got to have a play date with her friend Marble this weekend... and let me tell you - they are hooligans together!  John went mountain biking with Marble's dad, Jared, and while they were biking Scout and Marble got to play (under the supervision of Marble's mom, Faerl, of course!). Such fun times for the sweet puppy!

  3. I definitely had an iced-coffee or two this weekend as well! I've not tried the vanilla macchiato but I gave the hazelnut one a try this weekend & it was so good! That pollen (?) looks crazy!! We get quite a bit here this time of the year but it's definitely not that intense! Usually it just leaves your cars and windows a nice shade of gray/green! What a fun weekend!

  11. When Matt is stocking up on fishing supplies I always try to find the most sparkly and gaudy and convince him he NEEDS it! He just rolls his eyes at me. I mean a girl has to entertain herself somehow!! Scout and her pal look like they had a blast together. PS-you and my SIL could be twins!
