I am // I am not

April recently posted an I am and I am not post that I thought was great fun - so I decided to do one of my own!

Okay girls, here it goes... a blog post with no pictures! Dun, dun, dun! :) :)

I am  |  a bargain shopper.  I love a good deal, and I really don't like paying full price for things (especially clothes) unless I love them.  I was so sad when I could no longer use my student discount at J.Crew.

I am  |  a rule follower - which is why I have John use his old student ID at J.Crew to get discounts for me... I can be found hiding in the corner not making eye contact while he does this.

I am  |  active and I exercise, but do not enjoy the gym... I would much rather be outside.

I am  |  a water drinker.  I don't like to drink anything (Gatorade, juice, wine, etc.) until I have had at least 2 liters of water.  I carry a Nalgene with me everywhere, and it's a little bit obnoxious, but hey, it's what I do (I keep it in my tornado of a purse!).

I am  |  a planner.  I easily get "future sickness," and I have to check myself to make sure I am enjoying the moment (instead of planning the next five years).

***

I am not  |  much of a movie watcher.  John loves movies, so I have started watching them more recently, but life before John consisted of very few movies.  Lately, we have been using Redbox - it's great because it is so inexpensive, but then we don't return the movie for a month... and then it isn't quite so inexpensive anymore.

I am not  |  really interested in getting an advanced degree.  Some days the idea of going back to school really interests me... and then I am like yeahhh, no thank you.

I am not  |  an overly healthy eater.  I am very blessed to be tall and slender, and let me tell you, I did nothing to deserve this.  Girlfriend loves bread sticks and sweets.

I am not  |  a speeder.  I have never had a speeding ticket - which is a good thing, because John has too many to count... and every time he gets one, he acts super surprised and like he was totally wronged!  (This is not a joke... as I was writing this post, John was out running errands and got out of a speeding ticket - he asked for a high-five when he got home for saving us money, really?!)

I am not  |  much of an app person.  I hardly have any apps on my iPhone, and I like it that way... I hate clutter and the thought of a bunch of games on my phone stresses me out! I am a clean phone and clean counters kind of girl.

  1. I did one of these posts awhile ago and it was so much fun!

I am rule follower, too and not a big app girl either. I have my five, that's all I need!

  2. I have the same problem with Redbox... and any other "rental service". As a kid, I had my library card revoked. MOST TRAUMATIC THING EVER. I do blame my mom for not driving me though...

  4. I'm the same way about going back to school - in theory good, but I just don't want to do it!! I wish I was better about drinking more water!! I'm with you on being a bargain shopper - hate to pay full price for clothes or shoes, but purses - that's a different story lol!

  6. Love this!! I'm a definite bargain shopper! And for sure a planner. I freak out if there aren't definitive plans for something. And I'm not a movie watcher or an app person either. I haven't been to the movies since Oz came out and I don't even remember the last movie I rented... and I have 4 folders of apps on my phone and they're not full... LOL!

  13. Love this!!! I am a definite bargain shopper too! Like walk around with items only to place them back randomly if I think I can find it somewhere else for a few dollars cheaper! lol at John thinking he is "saving" money by talking himself out of a ticket. Lol

  16. Haha I love your one about breadsticks :) nice honesty :) Wouldn't it be nice if we could all just eat whatever we wanted and look like you? ;) I do okay now, but I know when I get older, if I keep eating whatever I want, it will not be good haha :)

  18. I do the same thing with Redbox. I cant rent from them anymore because I never return and it adds up to a bajillion dollars. I am better just watching on demand on my television. I am not a speeder either. I tend to be a very careful (cough old lady cough) type driver. Thanks for sharing these!

  19. I am also a total planner and get a lot of anxiety if I don't have a plan or if things don't go how I planned! Too funny about your husband "saving you money" by not getting a ticket, men, I swear! Lol!

  20. I'd totally use my old ID with no problem, anything for a deal ;) I actually enjoy going to the gym; I hate how hot it gets outside, I'm odd I know.

  24. I love these posts that you have been doing. Getting to know you has been so fun! I'm not much of a speeder either, not crazy over movie watching and wish I drank as much water as you - I'm so bad at that!

  28. Every one of those was something I could say about myself! lol. I am such a rule follower....probably why I don't speed. :) I love a clutter free life and that includes my phone...no Angry Birds for me! I am a major water drinker and keep a giant cup with a straw by my side all day. I hope you are having a great week!

  29. I'm a new follower, and it was fun to learn a little more about you! Sounds like you and I are a lot alike...except I don't exercise, but I do eat healthy. :) What a perfect way to describe being a planner - having "future sickness". That is totally me too. One of my big goals this fall is to relax and enjoy the moment and my family more instead of worrying about checking things off my list. Thanks for sharing! -Jess

  30. I can't believe he got a speeding ticket while you were talking about not speeding! haha That is too crazy, I never speed either, because I'm also a rule follower! I wish I was better about drinking water, I always feel better when I'm getting the amount I'm supposed to each day!
