In case you didn't hear, John and I are moving to Texas! And we bought a house!
Which naturally progresses to obsessing over all things home decor on Pinterest.
If only real life could be a Pinterest board, right?!

I have to keep reminding myself that it's all baby steps... we are going from a 1200 sqft condo to a 3500 sqft house, which means that basically every single room in the house will be empty with a closed door when we move in, ha!
And in the mean time, I'll be dreaming over all of my future home decor... here's some of my inspiration so far!

Symmetrical Living Rooms
All Things Gray
Wallpapered Powder Room
Wooden Chandeliers
Rawhide Rugs
OMG so many amazing inspirations! You are making me want to go buy a new house and completely redecorate! I think a wooden chandelier is a definite must and love those rawhide mugs!

Those gray walls have me swooning! It's been a year since we made the same type of transition... and there's definitely still ALL THE CLOSED doors... which is fine. No one needs to see those rooms anyway. We'll see if I still feel that way post-renovation... but for now I'm reminding myself to take my time. We can hold each other accountable. ;)
ReplyDeleteLots of closed doors over here, too... one year later ;) Can't wait to see your house come together! It's going to be amaze!
ReplyDeleteBelated congrats on the big move - that is so exciting! I've always wanted a wall paper powdered room too!
ReplyDeleteso many good things! i love love the gray walls! you are going to have so much fun decorating! xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteLoving all of your inspiration girl - gorgeous! And I hear ya on empty space... we went from a 900 sq ft apartment to a 3800 sq ft house (love how much square footage you can get in the south!) and we had several empty rooms for a while. It's starting to feel more cozy and filled, but don't feel like you have to do it all at once ;-)

Congrats on the move and the house! I am swooning over that crazy bright floral wallpaper. I know what you go with is going to look fabulous (and the best part is always shopping!).
ReplyDeleteYES to all of these things. That was our biggest problem when we moved into our house after we got married… neither one of us owned any furniture!! It is SO EXPENSIVE furnishing a house! We had to do it little by little. I didn't want to buy all cheap stuff just to fill the house so I've gotten things I love, just piece by piece.
ReplyDeleteGimme all the gray!
ReplyDeletebeautiful inspiration photos!! You make me want to go wallpaper my powder room now. Thanks a lot :) xoxo, Annie -HomeofMalones
ReplyDeleteI am LOVING gray! And can you believe that wallpaper is back?! I'm liking the modern prints.

ReplyDeleteLove the grey! And I love the rugs! I can't wait to see how you decorate! xo
ReplyDeleteLove your inspiration!! Can't wait to see what you do with your house! There are so many things that we still need to do but it is baby steps and I want to make sure I love the pieces we buy since it's permanent. Enjoy the process :)
ReplyDeleteWhaat?!!! So excited!!! Love Pinterest!
ReplyDeleteThere isn't a picture of inspiration that I don't like! Your house is quickly going to become a beautiful home! Xo, stephanie
