After a very unexpected turn of events, John and I are excited to announce that we will be moving to Texas... San Antonio, to be exact!
We are excited to be moving, and really feel like God is leading us to San Antonio - we are looking forward to seeing what He has in store! Part of moving to Texas is really putting a stake in the ground and making the city ours. We have moved around a lot over the past 5 years (Michigan, New Mexico, Arizona, etc.), and we are looking forward to investing in the community and digging in.
And part of this process is purchasing a house... which we did! Which I am VERY excited about - it is our first house, and it really is perfect. The house hunting process was a little bit stressful considering we are not super familiar with the area, but this house was just so "right." We are looking forward to making it a home (and although we don't move in until the end of this month, it really is already home).
In the meantime, John will start work with his new firm in San Antonio on Monday, and I will keep working in Arizona until I move out at the end of the month. You best believe that I'm looking forward to a Texas "fall" and sipping pumpkin spice lattes while walking my pup in my new neighborhood. I will say, however, that there are many things I will miss about Arizona - our church, the friends that we've made, the colorist that I finally found, just to name a few. But we are believing for a smooth transition.
Moving is never easy, but we have felt so blessed through this whole process... it's been overwhelming, really (who would have thought that you could be so overwhelmed with a good thing?!). We've been busy packing and putting stuff away (hence my lack of food and DIY posts - everything is packed!), and I'm looking forward to unpacking permanently.
And, well, without further ado, God bless Texas! :)
