Life Lately!

Hiii! I have been so busy and haven't had a chance to even thinking about blogging... but I just had to share what we've been up to lately - full schedules, but full hearts too!

John and I recently put a deposit down on a pup-sister for Scout, and the puppies were born Friday morning! We are so excited and cannot wait to get one of these little pups in our home!

Last Friday John's firm hosted an associate event at Topgolf. It was great getting to meet some of his coworkers, and really, who doesn't love Topgolf?!

This past week was spent in sunny Arizona for work, and it was pretty great being back... the weather was beautiful - and it was great getting some sunshine and a break from the rain.

Although Arizona isn't home anymore, Texas isn't quite home yet either, so being in a familiar area was quite refreshing. And let me tell you, the valley of the sun was certainly living up to its name.

Although it was a busy week, it was great getting a taste of some of  my favorite things... an unsweetened iced tea, a winter vegetable salad, and a new Beth Moore book!

I was able to squeeze in a late night dinner with my friend Jennifer in Old Town Scottsdale... and it was good for my soul! God has blessed me with her friendship, and it was so nice catching up!

If one thing is for sure, it's that the snow birds are slowly making their way back to Arizona, and the traffic everywhere was crazy!

Before heading back to Texas, my group at work headed to Topgolf for a little team building... it was great to see everyone in person, and it was a bit sad leaving again!

Unfortunately, John had to work this weekend, but I decided to tag along and check out his new digs at the office; so far it's pretty empty, but I already have an office Pinterest board going for him.

After John finished up at work, we decided to pick up a few things at Ikea... at let me tell you, the only thing more dangerous than Ikea is Ikea at Christmas time - so much great holiday decor!

Although it's been a busy week and weekend, I'm heading into Monday feeling good and hope you are too!

  4. I remember when we put a deposit down on our puppy, it was one of the most exciting times waiting for him to be born and then waiting for more picture updates so congrats on the new edition! I've heard such great things about Scotsdale and it sounds like you had a blast visiting, even if it was for work.

  7. Those new pups are THE CUTEST THINGS I'VE EVER SEEN!!!! We are stalking Ted's breeders website because they're expecting like 2 liters...and we can't get one now...but we still want to see them so badly. I'll probably cry. It would be a lot of work to have two...but something about knowing their bffs, or brother/sister is just too sweet!!! You better post tons of pictures once you get her home. And I had no idea IKEA did Christmas....I guess I've just never been in there around this time of year. That looks like heaven!! Luckily we're moving soon and won't be able to shop at all until next year ;)

  11. Yay for a new puppy!! After working at Ikea for 4 years, I normally have no interest in their Christmas things, but this year everything is SO cute!

  12. So excited for your new little puppy – the more puppies the merrier, right?! Top Golf times two is the best – what fun nights you had. It must have been great being back in AZ again too.

  16. I love that you have a Pinterest board for your hubby's new office. I did the same when my hubby got a new job in August - great curtains, fun baskets to organize things, plants and picture frames. I need to go in and add a few more things, but I was happy to hear people were complimenting how everything was coming together. Congrats on the new puppy and fun travels :)
