Shortly after Christmas, John and I had our first round of guests come stay with us in Texas. My parents, younger brother and good family friends that are like family all journeyed down south to spend the week with us.
Here's a quick recap of our time together!
***
A quick trip to Fredericksburg.
Burgers and tornado fries
Country music at Luckenbach Dance Hall
Everybody is somebody in Luckenbach, Texas
Lots of foosball
Barbecue in Lockhart
Waiting in line at Black's
If there was only one food I could eat for the rest of my life... it may be brisket. Delish!
In a food coma
Games, lots of games! For Christmas my brother got me the board game Pandemic, and we played several rounds together.
Touring the Alamo
It was a bit dreary weather almost all of the days that we had visitors, but by the end the sun finally came out to play
Riverwalk
We took a riverboat tour on the San Antonio River through the Riverwalk
Riverwalkin' and enjoying the sunshine
All of the Christmas lights were still up which made for pretty night time views
As much as I loved having family in town, I think Scout may have loved it even more - girlfriend loves to sit on laps!
Horseback riding in the hill country
A natural cowboy!
It was great to get outside and spend some time in the sun
I made sure to pick the blonde horse with braids ;)
A quick stop in Gruene
Ice cream at the general store!
I can't think of any better way to bring in the new year than with those that you love the most!
Now here's to hoping I can remember to date things "2016"...
