Spring Wreaths!

If you knew me before I had kiddos keeping me busy, you would know that I'm always up for a good ole DIY... And some of my favorite things to DIY are wreaths! I love how a nice wreath on your front door welcomes guests and sets the tone for the rest of your home... such a fun seasonal touch!

But as much as I love a DIY, I just don't have the time to actually sit down and make something anymore (nonetheless run to Hobby Lobby or peruse Pinterest for inspiration!). Although I'm unable to make my own, I'm not about to miss celebrating a season change with a new wreath, so thankfully Commercial Silk had just what I was looking for!

Commercial Silk sells a variety of wreaths, silk flowers, artificial plants, and planters... and I found a beautiful hydrangea wreath that was perfect for spring! Although not inexpensive, a good quality wreath will last for many seasons if stored and cared for properly - definitely making them worth the investment.

The wreath is on a lightweight floral foam which makes it super easy to hang with a nail since it isn't too heavy (for a cleaner look I always try to avoid a wreath hanger). I'm hoping that a new flowery wreath will pave the way for our Minnesota weather to start warming up for good... come on, summer!!

In addition to a wreath for spring, I also picked out a few planters that I plan to use for herbs... there is nothing better than some fresh mint for a little summer mojito action! Or how about some cilantro for homemade salsa? Yes, please!

The planters are shaped like little coffee mugs (which couldn't be cuter) and will be perfect to keep in our sunroom (now to keep little Jack's hands off of them...)!

And if you do have time and are up for a little DIY action, check out my tutorials below!

  1. I love all of these! I'd love to collaborate with them... let me know!

  2. At first glance, I was going to say that you outdid yourself on this one... ;) It really is the perfect spring wreath though!
